Personal Information:

• Married to my wonderful husband, Shane
• Three children:  Jocelyn Ann (age 13), Eli Samuel (age 3), and Emily Gail (age 2)  

Professional Information:

• I graduated from Mountain Home High School in Mountain Home, Arkansas, in 1993.
• I attended Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee and graduated in 1998 with a BA in Human Resource Management.  After working in payroll for a large corporation in Memphis, I realized that I had missed my calling as a teacher.  I earned a Master's degree in elementary education (grades 1-8) in 2001. 
• I taught seventh grade math and social studies in the Shelby County School (Memphis, TN)system from 2001-2003.
• After leaving Memphis, I served in the United States Army as a Spanish interrogator.  I am a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom in Baghdad, Iraq.
• I have taught in EBR Parish Schools (at McKinley Middle Academic Magnet) since 2006.
• I am Highly Qualified in Social Studies.
• I am certified in all core subjects at the middle school and elementary levels.

I am involved with the Junior Beta Club and am a sponsor of McKinley's chapter.
