The eighth grade Louisiana history curriculum is divided into four major parts - Geography, Economics, Government, and Louisiana History.  Mastery of all areas in addition to major concepts from World and American history are required for the end of the year LEAP exam, which makes this class the most important social studies course each student will take in middle school!

To find success in Louisiana history, each student should have the following with them on a daily basis:

Binder (with dividers and paper), pens and pencils (pencils only are used for unit exams!), pocket folder, and the school issued planner.

East Baton Rouge Parish School System is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, gender, age, or qualified disability.
